The rental options are Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, Avis, and Alamo.
You could get a check code before leaving the UK as a convenient way to share and validate your driving licence information with a rental company. Get this from the UK Government website.
Some rental companies require an International Driving Permit (IDP), which is a translation of your driving licence. But always bring a valid UK driving licence.
You also need a credit card in your name and your passport.
The roads are always busy, especially the main routes. Be aware of the differences. For example, driving is on the right side in Dubai. Traffic moves fast, and cars are generally bigger in Dubai.
